Our Practice

We provide skilled and knowledgeable representation in matters involving:

  • Employment law and litigation: We protect the rights of workers who have suffered financial, mental or any other loss because of discrimination or harassment (sexual or otherwise) under federal or state law. This includes discrimination on the basis of race, gender, religion, national or ancestral origin, disability, and sexual orientation. We also handle retaliation claims for individuals who have been fired for reporting employment discrimination or harassment. In addition, we also represent employees who have been retaliated against for reporting other violations of law or regulations ("whistleblower actions").
  • Unemployment appeals: We represent people who have been denied unemployment benefits or whose former employer has appealed a decision to award benefits. We will prepare and file all necessary documents, and represent you in administrative hearings and, if necessary, in court. We do not charge you attorneys' fees for representing you at any stage of the unemployment process.
  • Special education law: We work closely with parents and children, handling all matters related to IEP meetings, as well as due process or 504 hearings. We also handle busing issues.
  • Car/auto accidents: Our lawyers represent people who have been injured on the roadways in Rhode Island as a result of the careless or negligent acts of other drivers. We also act as your advocate in all dealings with insurance companies.
  • Social Security Disability law: We represent individuals who have become disabled and need to apply for Social Security benefits. We work throughout the entire process from application to a court appeal if necessary.
